My interest in Ayurveda started 14 years ago when I joined an introductory course on Ayurvedic Medicine at Nature Care College.
When I first started on this journey, I was suffering from many digestive issues causing me great discomfort and pain. This was the main reason for my decision to study this holistic healing modality.
During this time, I learnt daily routines such as, how to incorporate kitchen herbs and spices as medicine, as well as the type of food to balance each individual dosha (Vata, Pitta, Kapha, the three unique body types) in everyday cooking.
It was then that I found my deep passion for the Ayurvedic lifestyle. I studied an Advanced Diploma in Beauty Therapy and Certificate 1 and 2 in massage with Heartworks Lomi Lomi learning the art of ancient healing in traditional Hawaiian massage. This started my thought process of how the healing properties of Lomi Lomi and Ayurveda could complement each other and be applied to traditional Ayurvedic beauty care.
I then went on to study an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant Diploma with Dr Adjit, Australasia’s most experienced Ayurvedic doctor at the Australasian Institute of Ayurvedic Studies. My study included traditional Ayurvedic treatments and the healing properties of a variety of medicinal herbs.
My next step took me to the beautiful island of Kauai to train as an Ayurvedic chef with Hale Pule. There I immersed myself in Ayurvedic flavours, nutrition, meditation, therapy, yoga and learning how to farm the core elements of the ayurvedic diet.
After my years of study and witnessing first-hand the health and harmony brought to my own body and mind. I now combine all my passions in bringing Omsai Ayurveda to life, offering customised nutritional plans and guidance, lifestyle consulting and body treatments. It brings me joy to help others experience the enhanced digestion, vitality and happiness that the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda has brought me.
